IT was a joyous moment on Thursday (April 29) as Wraysbury played its first competitive match for 18 months due to the pandemic situation.

We hosted Staines BC in a restricted two triples match which was evenly balanced with a rink win each, though Wraysbury edged a 33-30 shots victory.

The real winner, though, was the ability to be able to meet and play bowls again against another club.

Our fixtures now continue but we do need members to support these matches so please submit your names via the online match entry form which can be found on the members 'entry & booking' page at the bottom of the menu.  Let's enjoy some competitive bowling!

Our club play is back under Bowls England guidelines allowing limited play and at the moment this means for our green, singles or pairs with four players maximum per rink.
Play is only allowed via our members online booking system (see Booking page in the Menu) –
so there's no turn up and play.

The clubhouse remains closed for general use – except for the toilet.

Players must take responsibility for appropriate sanitising during their session and do remember the distancing rule.

Our Summer competitions, both knockout and league, are planned to go ahead – and are free to enter this year!  Do take the opportunity to get back to bowling by entering.
