Wraysbury Bowls Club is a friendly club with all-weather rinks offering year-round bowling in a picturesque setting in the centre of the village.
The club was formed in 1998 out of a nucleus of members of the indoor short mat bowls group who were enthusiastic in wanting to add a bowls club to the sporting activities in the village.
Land had to be found and after several years of disappointment the group, inspired now by Bob Marshall, negotiated to lease from the parish council land that formed part of the old village car park to construct the rinks and clubhouse.
Since then, thanks to many dedicated villagers the club has gone from strength to strength and has a men’s team playing in the Kennet League and a mixed team playing in the Chiltern & Thames League.
Wraysbury club members enjoy social roll-ups on Friday and Sunday mornings, along with in-house knock-out and league format competitions.
